After his triumph as the icon of the Italian movement, Saint Precario generated an anagram of his name: “Serpica Naro”, embodied as an Anglo-Japanese female virtual fashion designer. As a new patron saint of workers, Serpica Naro occupied the center of a memorable hoax against Milan’s Fashion Week in 2005 where she managed to get a catwalk and media coverage as a real fashion designer. At this event Serpica Naro condemned the conditions of precarious workers within Italian fashion industry and has been working since on the concept of open-source brand and empowerment concerning the subjectivity of workers in the creative industries.

Functioning as both a fictional individual and collective artist group, Serpica Naro mixes theory, practice, craftism and organization for events, workshops, exhibitions in various institutions and social spaces in Italy and abroad.
